In 2010, the comprehensive strategic partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Portuguese Republic continued to grow steadily with positive results achieved in practical cooperation in various fields.
Frequent exchanges at all levels led to greater political mutual trust between the two sides. From 6 to 7 November, President Hu Jintao paid a state visit to Portugal. He held talks with President Cavaco Silva and met Parliament Speaker Jaime Gama and Prime Minster Jose Socrates.
