Croatia-China Relations

The year 2010 witnessed steady development of the comprehensive cooperation partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Croatia and continuous expansion of their bilateral cooperation in all fields.

History

The two countries had frequent important political exchanges. In July, NPC Chairman Wu Bangguo had a brief talk with Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Luka Bebic in Geneva on the sidelines of the Third World Conference of Speakers of Parliament. In November, NPC Vice Chairman Ismail Tiliwaldi visited Croatia and met with Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and Speaker of the Parliament Luka Bebic respectively. In February, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government and Minister of Culture Cai Wu attended the inauguration ceremony of President Ivo Josipovic. In May, President Ivo Josipovic came to China and attended the National Day of the Croatia Pavillion at the Shanghai World Expo. Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping met him in Beijing . In July, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ivan Suker visited China and met with Vice Premier Li Keqiang.
